Massih Tayebi, Ph.D., is president and CEO of Rapid Bridge as well as chairman and CEO of Bridge West, LLC, an investment firm specializing in the development of emerging technology companies. Dr. Tayebi is a co-founder and former chairman and CEO of Wireless Facilities Inc. (WFI), a global leader in telecommunications outsourcing specializing in the planning, design, deployment and management of wireless telecommunications networks. Prior to founding WFI, Dr. Tayebi served on the senior faculty of the engineering department at the University of Paisley in the United Kingdom. Dr. Tayebi and his brother, Masood Tayebi, received the Ernst and Young 2000 Entrepreneur of the Year award in San Diego; the 2000 American Electronics Association High Technology Industry Recognition Award for telecommunications services; and the 1999 Venture Capital Success Story award by the San Diego Venture Group.
Dr. Tayebi holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. degree from the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom.
Ramin Absari has extensive management, corporate development and advisory experience across variety of sectors including technology, telecoms & media, financial services. Mr. Absari has previously held management and advisory positions in a number of blue chip organizations internationally including Compaq Computers, NatWest Group PLC, Barclays Group PLC, SE Banken and Vodafone Group PLC.
Mr. Absari has a Masters Degree from Columbia University, a Diploma from Stockholm School of Economics and a MBA from London Business School.
Michael Brunolli has over 25 years of digital and analog integrated circuit (IC) design experience and holds 18 patents. As a Division Fellow with Brooktree Corporation, Mr. Brunolli pioneered the development of high speed RAMDACs. For his BT458, he was given the "NCGA 1991 Award for Technical Excellence." Later with Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, Mr. Brunolli contributed various analog cores for video and modem products. As a result, in 1996 he was honored as Rockwell's "Engineer of the Year." In 1997, he co-founded NurLogic Design Inc., where he developed PLLs, high speed IOs, A/D and optical communication technology. For its 48 channel optical design, NurLogic won USCD CONNECT's Most Innovative New Product of the year Award in 2001. Nurlogic was acquired by Artisan Components in February of 2003.
Mr. Brunolli earned a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
Benny Malek-Khosravi has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor business. He worked for various companies, including Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, Brooktree Corporation, Metaflow Technologies, Silicon Connections, and served as the VP of Engineering at Artisan (ARM) in charge of SerDes development and other physical IPs. Mr. Malek-Khosravi’s design experience ranges from memory, interface subsystem PHYs, high speed SerDes, standard cell, optical transmitters and top level chip architecture designs. Mr. Malek-Khosravi co-founded NurLogic Design Inc. He has eight patent awards in the areas of digital to analog converter, DDR subsystems, Calibration of interfaces, silicon monitoring and power management.
Mr. Malek-Khosravi holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Susan Huberman brings to Rapid Bridge over 20 years of strategic marketing experience across a wide variety of industries. Prior to joining Rapid Bridge, Ms. Huberman was the Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Entropic Communications, a leading home networking semiconductor company. During her tenure at Entropic, Ms. Huberman ran all facets of corporate communications including branding, public relations, web, events, strategic intelligence and positioned the company for its initial public offering (IPO) in Dec. 2007. In addition to Entropic Communications, Ms. Huberman was the Chief Marketing Officer for Iomega Corporation and held a variety of senior marketing management positions at Hewlett Packard.
Ms. Huberman holds an MBA from The Wharton School in Strategic Planning and Marketing Management and a BS in Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University.
